About
I have found working with others to give them a new perspective and developing tools to manage the emotions. Being self-aware can bring clarity and restores one’s hope and perspective to new beginnings. I received two undergraduate degrees from Oral Roberts University: a BS in Psychology and a BSN in Nursing. I worked as a nurse for over 30 years, most of my work in the operating room. I have been a single mom for the last 21 years and other than working my focus was on my two wonderful children. Having raised my kids and watching them have their own families my focus came back to me as to what I wanted to do. I realized I had not completed what I had started which was my first degree in Psychology, my true passion. Nursing was a strong second but I realized I wasn't doing what I had set out to do from the beginning. In 2019 I finished my degree, began working as an LPC, and continued my nursing career, until September 2021 when I became a full time LPC. I have worked with all ages as a nurse and a therapist. My main focus as a therapist is with women and the challenges one encounters on the journey of life. It is those events that can make us stronger but the anxieties and stressors and overwhelming uncertainties along the way can take one down a road of questions and few answers. I have worked with Holocaust survivors, and those who are struggling with anxiety, and depression. My desire is to walk with each one as they uncover their true selves. Finding hope in who they are, bringing out the best from places that were difficult, but not the end. Finding their new beginnings, fresh starts, renewing and restoring the wonderful person they are inside and out.
