Hello. I am Tammy Cairns a Licensed Clinical Counselor as well as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) in the state of Michigan. I have many years of experience in the field of substance-related disorders as well as mental health. My education includes a Master of Arts degree with a major in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. I have many years of experience building and managing residential treatment rehabilitation facilities as well as outpatient therapy centers to help fight against the addiction epidemic. I have helped guide clients of all ages from 7 yrs old to 80 yrs old . I use a wide range of modalities during therapy depending on the needs and goals of the clients. I am very much client oriented and focused to help guide each client individually to the place in life they are striving to achieve . I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked with those who are struggling with mental health issues as well as those who have addictive behaviors including gambling, shopping, eating and internet use in addition to substance and alcohol abuse.I also have experience with emotional and mental health issues such as personality disorders, anxiety , depression , PTSD , aging, loss of purpose and drive , communication building and anger issues to name a few .

I strongly believe that therapy is a balance between mind, body & spirit that can help create healthy coping skills and the tools needed to sustain a recovery lifestyle as well as a balanced well-being .Many times we just struggle in life and feel ourselves becoming overwhelmed with daily tasks, deadlines or expectations .Do you have difficulty with life’s daily demands?
