Pleased to make your acquaintance! I am Tameri Harris, an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold a valid license to practice in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. I have a Master's Degree; in Clinical Social Work from The University of Maryland Baltimore's School of Social Work. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Generalist Social Work from Coppin State University and an Associate's Degree in Allied Human Services: Addictions Counseling from Baltimore City Community College. Throughout my 15-year career, I have gained extensive experience working in diverse treatment settings, providing education, advocacy, and clinical support to individuals, families, children, and community entities. I am adept at delivering top-notch care that is trauma-informed and patient-centered; while adhering to ethical and clinical standards. My abilities encompass conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions, leading groups, conducting diagnostic assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations, administering evidence-based screenings, providing healthcare and disease management for populations, utilizing an EHR system, offering support and education for caregivers, reconciling and managing medication, managing chronic health conditions, and addressing other medical, psychiatric, and psychosocial comorbidities. As a therapist, my primary goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients. I have been described, as truthful, compassionate, encouraging, and understanding, with a great sense of humor. I am dedicated to upholding legal, ethical, and therapeutic principles. I approach my work by helping individuals identify and utilize their strengths to overcome obstacles and develop healthier stress management techniques.
