My focus areas are on black women’s issues, sexuality, dating/ relationships (traditional/non-traditional), family, anxiety, life transitions, identity, religion/spirituality, & racial/cultural concerns. I believe in fostering a client-centered, collaborative, genuine, & empathic relationship with clients. The hope is that my clients reach a space of peace and be liberated to do “their work.” I have practiced as a social worker for eight years. I have worked in multiple settings (residential, inpatient, and K-12 schools) with multiple populations using several service delivery models. I employ a holistic approach to care, emphasizing the understanding of cultural, spirituality, & social/emotional factors while advocating for those silenced by oppression and inequity.
