About
I have been licensed in Texas for three years, during which I have worked with couples, families, and individuals. I have experience helping clients cope with addictions, trauma and abuse, anger management & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I have also worked with minors (13-17) in and out of a school setting, including but not limited to children with autism. I have always believed we are more than the sum of our experiences and that one of life's most remarkable journeys is our search for meaning. I also think amid our search for meaning, and we encounter various struggles, conflicts, and tension when what we are doing is not resulting in what we want, be it emotionally, physically, or spiritually. My professional goal during the counseling experience is first to help you become aware of and better understand the language, behaviors, thoughts, and feelings most prevalent in your day-to-day life. Then evaluate if those things align with where you want to be. This is done through CBT techniques, solution-focused ideology, and language, with a heavy undercurrent of person-centered counseling. I always remind my clients that counseling is a process where the more you sow, the more you are likely to reap. One of my duties as a counselor is to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable enough to identify what you want or are searching for, then work towards it.
