My name is Synthia Lawton, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Virginia. I am a 2015 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where I obtained my Master in Social Work. I have been working in the field of mental health for over 10 years and I have extensive experience providing quality services with adults, children and families on a wide range of areas including but not limited to adoption, attachment, depression, anxiety, stress, behavioral issues, communication, anger management and co-occurring disorders. My approach is eclectic as the saying says, one shoe does not fit all. I use Solution Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and will be training in December 2020 in EMDR therapy.
