About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia with over 10 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients struggling with a wide range of concerns.
My counseling style is supportive, strength-based and rooted in a systems-thinking approach. I believe in the dignity and worth of each person, and that the human spirit is quite resilient. One focus of my practice is for the client to feel heard, to be respected, and to feel understood. When people feel accepted, they are open to be challenged and to grow in new and meaningful ways. I strive to create a safe and empathetic environment to facilitate growth.
Each individual is unique and therefore no one issue is ever the same among different people. I utilize an integrative approach to meet the needs of the person, not the "problem". Exploration of different approaches and techniques empowers individuals to find what works best for them.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, outdoors, art, music and reflective time.
I consider it a privilege to be able to walk with someone through their fears and hurts and assist them to experience healing and restoration.
