About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and have been working with clients for over 15 years.

My career path has been non-traditional. I devoted my early years to being a stay-at-home mother to my three children. I returned to college when my youngest started elementary school, completing my Bachelor's degree in 1991. I worked in Corporate America for the next 12 years until starting my Master's education, earning my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2005. I most recently (December 2020) completed my PhD in Counseling.

I work with my clients using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy model. Simply put, IFS is an approach that empowers a person to get to know the different aspects to their personality (I call them Parts) in order to help the Parts that have been wounded heal. As wounded Parts heal, the person will be less triggered by current events and more free to live a fulfilling life.
