Sydney T. Scoggins, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker providing therapeutic services to individuals of all ages from children to senior adults. Sydney’s primary focus is assisting clients in attaining their optimal level of mental and emotional health. She treats a variety of conditions including but not limited to:

Sydney completed undergraduate work at Auburn University receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work. She worked for the state of Alabama as a foster care and protective services social worker for two years while attending Florida State University where she received a Master’s degree in Social Work. She has experience providing mental health care to individuals, families, and groups in a number of settings including community mental health, employee assistance program services, hospice care, and home health care.

Sydney employs evidenced based approaches tailored to the client’s individual needs and strengths. She has extensive experience and a strong record of positive outcomes with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She works with the patient to help them understand themselves and their purpose in life.

Sydney seeks to create an open and nonjudgmental environment where a person can develop the insight and skills they need to overcome the difficulties and challenges they are facing. Her understanding and concern will help you feel safe and comfortable in therapy.
