About

My entire career to date has been centered around helping others. From my first call as an intern at the Metro Crisis Call Center in Portland, or to my most recent submission of a Functional Behavior Assessment. Over the span of nearly 3 decades, I have been blessed to support a variety of individuals both in and out of their homes. I have worked with persons as they were experiencing some of the most challenging times of their lives. Regardless of the setting or the community being served, I have always had one goal in mind and that was of meeting people where they were at the time and walking with them on their journeys to improve the quality of their lives. I have embraced this as my mission and strategically planned my education and training to support this goal.
In 2004, I received my master’s degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School, Hopkins MN with a certification in Human and Organizational Development. In 2015, I acquired a certification in Forensic Mental Health from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN and successfully completed the DHS L4 Leadership Development Program in 2016. In 2018, I started post graduate training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I completed this training in early 2019 and in August, I became certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional through IATP, WI
I would like to believe I am the best disguised introvert there is and I love nothing better than unplugging at the end of the day. To do that I am either in the kitchen cooking or baking, somewhere making or “arting” or out playing in the dirt. To know me is to know that brings me joy.
My favorite quote (right now) “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ~ Rumi
