I have been a therapist for the past 12 years and have worked with individual children and adults, as well as couples and families. My focus has been primarily on depression, anxiety, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, and of course, life and relationship challenges. One of my areas of interest is post traumatic growth or how we find transformative meaning, and actually thrive, after experiencing trauma or overcoming challenges. The trust and warmth that characterizes a good therapeutic relationship creates an environment where self-reflection and inquiry can take place, followed hopefully by a willingness to step just outside of our comfort zones (even in the tiniest ways) and face our obstacles and challenges, “slaying the dragon” as it were. The journey towards transformation, healing, and a more fulfilling life is not necessarily easy, nor does it have a straight path or a clear end. It is a deeply rewarding process of continual change and growth and I feel privileged to be a part of that journey alongside my clients – providing a space for honest introspection, reflection, and change.
