About
Thanks for clicking on my page! I want to thank you for getting the courage to seek some relief from the pain or discomfort you are going through at this time. I am a warm, patient, authentic, friendly, and nonjudgemental bilingual professional who will meet you where you are, build a therapeutic relationship and work together on a treatment plan with agreed-upon goals that you are ready to tackle.
My name is Susana Cetta and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been licensed in the state of FL since 1999. I attended Rollins College for my undergraduate degree in psychology, and my graduate work was completed at Florida International University (FIU) in the area of mental health counseling. I spent the first seventeen years of my career working with children, adolescents, young adults, biological and foster parents, and grandparents who were active in the child welfare system. In the second phase of my career, I worked with middle and high school students and their families on life adjustment, gender, identity, family crisis, and many other adjustment issues. I have a great deal of clinical, teaching, and administrative experience. I enjoy working with clients who want to make career, life, or family transitions, coping with the harsh and intense stressors of daily life, and helping to bring a sense of calm, control, confidence, and most of all balance back to one’s daily life. I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic approach, Positive psychology strategies, and integrate mindfulness meditation techniques (MBSR) as a strategy to helping to mitigate the negative symptoms you may be experiencing. I also incorporate baseline assessment inventories and positive psychology strategies to help you learn to build happiness and life satisfaction levels. I often give homework in between sessions to give focus to the issue we are working on.
I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and will work with you to find solutions to help push your motivation forward. I will help you believe in yourself, find your motivation, help to clarify your goals, and facilitate a path to aligning your goals with your real life. It would be my pleasure to work with you and help you along this journey of self-discovery to find peace and balance. Please reach out and I would be happy to work with you.
