About

I am a clinical social worker, licensed in the state of Illinois, with over three years' experience as a therapist (and many more years of providing counseling and support in case management settings). I graduated from Cornell University and Howard University School of Social Work. That strong education, along with a lot of life experience, has prepared me for this work that I love. I work with people who have a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, trauma (emotional, physical, and racial), grief, depression, parenting challenges, and interpersonal conflicts.

My style of therapy is warm, interactive, calming, and non-judgmental. My therapeutic approach varies depending upon the person I am working with, but I lean heavily on mindful, trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic theories and practices. We will collaborate to craft a plan that will move you forward toward increased wellness and contentment.
