I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor with more than 14 years of experience in Illinois. I also have a professional education license as a school social worker. I have worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility, inpatient addictions, and in the schools. I have worked with people from all different backgrounds. My specialties include: addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, LGBT+ issues, and PTSD.

I graduated from the University of Illinois with my MSW in 2006. I worked in a juvenile detention facility as a therapist for youth who were incarcerated. I’ve also worked in a specialized behavioral alternative school. I transitioned to working with those starting their addiction recovery journey for over ten years, obtaining my CADC. I currently work in a middle school as a social worker.

I use a client centered approach. My counseling style is laid back and have been described as caring, compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental. I use a variety of techniques including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I work with clients at their pace and provide a safe place for them to share.
