I like to use a person-centered approach, which means I focus on the client's strengths, their resilience, and their goals, and I tailor the therapy sessions to what the client presents and needs. I focus on supporting them in their journey to emotional well-being so they can be successful in overcoming the challenges of stress or symptoms that may be impacting on their life. I bring over 20 years of professional experience to my practice with a focus on women's health issues related to depression, anxiety, stress management with family, career, life stages, relationship issues and pregnancy/postpartum adjustment. I also have a specialty in working with parents of young children and teens in behavior management strategies and parenting support. I have also found that the spiritual component of therapy can be valuable in enhancing the emotional healing process for clients who have faith in God and want to incorporate that into their therapy sessions.
