I was born and raised in beautiful Washington State. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and I have a Master of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University. Prior to stepping out into private practice, I worked in hospice and palliative care where I assisted patients and families struggling with depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. Seeking therapy can feel a bit overwhelming and finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable with can be challenging. It’s important to have a safe place to go where you can explore and share your feelings in an accepting and non-judgmental environment. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy where the focus is on solutions to problems by discovering and using the resources and strengths a person already has. In Solution-Focused Therapy, clients are invited to identify their strengths and future hopes that will lead to getting unstuck from unhelpful behaviors that keeps the person from achieving their life goals. My style of therapy is warm and humanistic. I enjoy working with individual adults struggling with anxiety, stress, decision-making, low self-confidence, life transitions, and depression. I strive to provide all my clients with a safe, secure, and non-judgmental place to explore stuck areas and instill confidence in clients through empowering them to make positive changes and find balance between their personal, professional, and family lives. I believe our therapy together is a collaborative process, and I am respectful of each person’s challenges, strengths, and goals.
