My name is Subena Gustave. I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Texas. I am passionate about the mental health and well being of others and I have been working in the field for more than 15 years. I earned a Masters in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and then a Masters in Social Work from Touro College, both in New York City. Throughout the years I have worked with many different populations in various settings. I have worked with children and adults in inpatient, outpatient and partial hospital settings as well as community based programs. I currently work in private Texas. My consumers have presented with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, bi polar disorder and depression, schizophrenia, ADHD, and family related concerns.

What should you expect from me: I am a compassionate and empathetic listener. I will be honest and respectful in all my interactions. My approach is client centered and with the use of cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing and solution focused brief therapies I aim assist you in achieving your goals. I believe my job as a therapist is not to give you the answers but to help you focus on your strengths and explore your options and find the best resolutions to your concerns and conflicts.

I know that speaking to a stranger about personal concerns is daunting, however taking that first step is a sign of strength. I applaud you for your courage and look forward to working along with you on this journey.
