My name is Stuart Cohen, and I have been a practicing therapist to children, adolescents, and adults for over 30 years. During this time, I have trained extensively on various treatment methods with the goal to provide skillful, effective, and compassionate counseling. I primarily use best practice short-term therapies and, when appropriate, provide Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
I have extensive education in order to utilize a variety of tools and techniques to help clients. These include: Coursework in Beck Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Family Systems, Gottman Marital Therapy, Schema Focused Cognitive Therapy, Nurtured Heart Approach, Completion of Rutgers Advanced Certificate in Social Work for People With Developmental Disabilities.
