Steven Webb is an independently licensed marriage and family therapist in Minnesota. He identifies himself as a relational therapist. Therapeutically he uses techniques from various types of theories (e.g., Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Solutions Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and others) and is committed to recognizing the strengths and potential in individuals and families. He values healing and relationship building, and is passionate about helping others enhance their lives and achieve their goals.

By creating a safe environment and building a strong therapeutic relationship, Steve believes that change is possible. He combines workplace, volunteering, and life experiences from living throughout the USA and Asia in his practice. These experiences have provided him with an excellent background for assisting the diverse needs of clients. His experiences encompass crisis counseling, residential treatment, in-home, in-school, outpatient services, and medical and mental health care coordination.

Education & Qualifications

•Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, with minor in Soil Science from the University of Minnesota (1977, Mpls., MN)
•Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University (2009 Eagan, MN)
•Independently licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota (2011)
Cultural Diversity
•Peace Corps Volunteer for two years in Southeast Asia (Malaysia).
•Taught English to the Hmong as a volunteer with the Minnesota Literacy Council.
•Crisis counselor for culturally diverse population for 2 years with Crisis Connection.
•Big Brother mentor for a minority child for 1-1/2 years.
•Managed staff of support consultants resident in Bangalore, India.
•Participated in diversity and sensitivity training offered by my employer, SoftBrands, Inc.
•Completed cross cultural training from my employers: U.S. Peace Corp and SoftBrands, Inc.
