I am one of the founders and directors of NYCBT, a private practice specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Our team at NYCBT is comprised of dedicated, compassionate therapists whose mission is to help our community of clients address the challenges in their lives. We offer a range of services including individual therapy, DBT skills training groups, and a comprehensive DBT program. When you book an appointment through this page, you will be scheduled to meet with Dr. Ellie Lord, a clinical psychology fellow who works with me at NYCBT. Ellie is passionate about helping people reduce suffering and develop meaningful lives that are filled with joy and love through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She works in partnership with her clients to help them identify and achieve their goals by drawing on their unique individual strengths, while addressing their challenges with compassion. Ellie uses evidence-based treatments to work with individuals facing a range of problems, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and mood disorders. She has a special interest in working with individuals who experience suicidal thoughts and engage in self-harm. Please note that after scheduling you will be contacted to discuss any questions you may have and to provide some brief information regarding your appointment. Please also note that we are out of network for all insurance plans, though we can provide statements to submit for reimbursement if you have out of network benefits.
