Hello, my name is Stephen Draminski. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. I am currently licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and in Iowa as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been in clinical practice providing counseling services for over 18 years. I have experience working with adults and adolescents about a variety of mental health and behavioral concerns. I have experience working with anxiety, obsessive/compulsive issues, depression, mood disorders, sexuality, anger, relationship issues, stress, motivational issues, and trauma.

I have worked in the field of social services since 1998 and have worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, crisis management, forensic populations, and general mental health and emotional counseling. My counseling style combines strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. Identifying one's strengths and coping skills that can be used to help work through various issues is an important part of my therapy approach.

I feel that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the heart of all counseling. Recovery is a journey and I hope to be your guide on that journey.

At this time, I am able to do messaging and live messaging chats at this time. I will check messages at least twice a day; however to maintain some work life balance, I will not check messages after 6pm (CST). I make sure to answer messages sent to me that day before 6pm. I have times set on Sundays for live messaging chats (no video or phone sessions at this time). I can do other times only as my schedule allows. Thanks
