My name is Stephanie Rumbaugh and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. I have 14 years of experience working with children, teens and their families in schools and private therapy. I am certified in Art Therapy and recently returned to school for special education. I have significant experience working with clients who have concerns with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, life changes, and parenting issues. Working through those challenges presents great opportunity for personal growth!

The therapy I provide is based in client centered and family systems theories, while integrating other approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy. I am flexible in responding to what my clients need each session, and we work together to support your needs and set goals. I like to generate lots of options for clients to get the most out of our time together, so we may use books, helpful apps, or creative activities (like art or writing). I support my clients to set the agenda for their therapy with my guidance and follow up. Since much of my training is in family work, I think about people in the context of their relationships, and environment. I often ask about those topics, and look for client strengths to help address their needs and make positive change.
