About

The decision to enter therapy is courageous and important. I respect and honor you taking this first step! The path of self-discovery and fulfillment is one of the most profound journeys on which we embark. This path requires that each person be witnessed, seen and held in a compassionate and supportive space.
My role as your therapist is to help guide and support your unique process of self-discovery. We will identify some of the habits, thoughts and areas that may be current barriers for you. Some the issues I specialize in are addiction, childhood wounds, relationship issues, narcissistic abuse, codependency, adult children of alcoholics/addicts or dysfunction, depression, anxiety, OCD, women’s issues, divorce, recovering from domestic violence, challenges in long term recovery, difficult transitions and/or a sense of general dissatisfaction with your life and how you feel.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is collaborative and I trust your inner resources and capacity to identify what tools might resonate for you. I draw upon eclectic modalities to suit each individual’s needs. Some of the modalities used in my therapy are inspired by expressive arts, inner child work, Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), psychodrama, parts work, Ego States, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma focused approaches, Jungian concepts, Seeking Safety curriculum and various somatic therapies.

I am also very familiar with 12 step recovery. Although, I would not act a sponsor or fellow, I can weave in this work into our sessions and help you get unstuck or figure out what’s next in your recovery. It is important to me to not provide any of the 12 step teachings that are freely given in these fellowships; but rather to provide the supportive outside help you might need, as you do this work.

In addition, I am Franco-American, born in the United States and raised in France until I moved to the United States in 2003.I frequently visit my family in France; while living in the United States and being married to an American. I am fully fluent in English and French and have a unique multicultural perspective that may resonate with your own multicultural background. In my experience those with these unique backgrounds can benefit from the therapeutic experience of working with a therapist that understands the complexity of these multicultural identities. I see English- and French-speaking patients
