I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, currently licensed in Illinois with 10 years of professional experience. I have worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, family or marital problems, trauma/abuse, suicide, self-harm and more.
I believe that the most important aspect of counseling is the connection you establish with your counselor. Having a trusting connection with your counselor provides a safe space to share your struggles, which allows for personal growth and growth in self-awareness. Given the importance of having a trusting relationship, my therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual or family I am working with, with roots in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and a Strength Based approach. No matter what approach best fits you, everyone I work with is treated in a respectful, open-minded and non-judgmental manner.
