About

I am Stephanie Baxter, MSW, LCSW a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington (LW60990251). I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work (BSW) from Concordia University, Portland, Oregon and Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington in 2011.

I have extensive experience in the child welfare system as a social worker and a supervisor. I have over 18 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients. I left child welfare and focused on becoming a medical social worker within the hospital setting and now I am have been a social worker for Behavioral Health Director for a Federally Qualified Health Care Clinic (FQHC).

Through my work, I am committed to helping people overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs, depression, anxiety, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives. I work collaboratively with my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. I focus on taking care of the whole person with honesty, authenticity and without judgement. Some methods I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Based Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
