I believe in providing a warm, nurturing environment that will allow you to explore who you are and who you want to be. I strive to establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship based on self-determination, acceptance, and encouragement. I will support you in your ideas and choices without judgement. I believe in providing a safe place for you to explore the issues that may be causing you distress. I will work with you on creating a tool box of coping skills that will actually work for you. At the same time, I will challenge you to consider other perspectives and ideas and I will help you hold yourself accountable. Together we will determine goals to address the root of your problem for lasting change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having earned my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from University of North Carolina, Charlotte with a concentration in individual and family counseling. My twenty plus years of experience is with adolescents and adults in a variety of community, outpatient and residential settings. I have been providing individual and couples counseling since 2013 and specialize in assisting clients with overcoming past traumas.
