About

My name is Stacy Wright, I am a therapist with over twenty years experience working with a variety of individuals, children and families. Much of my professional experience has been centered around helping individuals who are dealing with a crisis or trauma that has negatively impacted their lives. I have worked with people who are facing difficult situations and often feel alone, I believe that no person needs to struggle alone, even if they lack a natural support system.

I believe that every person deserves to have at least one person in their corner who provides a safe place to be who they are, to talk about those issues that they pretend are not bothering them every day. No person needs to suffer in silence while the world continues on around them. There are number of treatment modalities that can help every person live their best life. I believe that stress and trauma are carried in our bodies and can cause pain, difficulty sleeping, even medical issues. For that reason I may do some guided mediation or encourage meditation or yoga stretches in order to encourage that stress to leave the body. Because our bodies hold on to trauma and past stressors, when we relax, it can bring up other previous unknown issues, which encourages a mind body healing. I also use EMDR, in conjunction with talk therapy, in an effort to provide help in clearing out negative core beliefs and replacing them with more positive core beliefs about yourself.

I believe in total wellness, which includes taking care of your physical self as well as your emotional well being. That means getting enough sleep and eating in a somewhat healthy diet, getting fresh air and moving your body in some way. I believe that every person has the right to live their own truth, to be who they are and to be appreciated and loved for who that person is. It can be very difficult to navigate life when the person you are is not celebrated, when other people and the stress of daily life. Since the onset of the pandemic, life has changed so much, it is so easy to think that you are alone and isolated, even if you are out in the world again. It can be helpful to remember that even if you feel alone, you do not have to be alone to deal with everything, there are caring people who are ready to help. I am one of them.
