About

Change. It must be something you are considering as you read through counselor profiles. Change is powerful, healing, and necessary as we maneuver through life. Boundaries. This word is life changing. Healthy boundaries allow others to love us and appreciate us fully for who we are. Balance. Peace. Joy. These are achieved with hard work and implementing therapeutic tools we are often not taught. Therapy is a good place to explore, reprocess, learn, practice, and implement the skills needed to make the changes you are seeking.

I love helping people find their passion, heal their wounds, restore their bodies, improve relationships, recover, and discover overall wellness. I invite each person into an open and trusting relationship based on mutual respect, love, and compassion. A strong therapeutic relationship is the basis which allows change to occur and healing to begin.

My therapeutic approach includes a combination of Adlerian (Individual Counseling), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, and Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM.) The uniqueness I bring to therapy is addressing underlying causes versus treating symptoms of diagnosed disorders. I encourage people to utilize supplements, vitamins, essential oils, microbiome health, food sensitivities, lifestyle changes, coping strategies, grounding skills, mindfulness practices, and spiritual connection to achieve balance.

My Professional Bio: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) through the State of Arkansas. I was a teacher in public education for five years. I served three years as a school counselor and six years as the Director of Counseling and Disability Services at University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM.) I have worked in faith based private practice, community mental health, and substance-use recovery for a combined total of six years. Natural Path Counseling, LLC is more than a business name – it is a culmination of my beliefs, education, experiences, and life’s work. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your change.
