Hello, my name is Stacey Gobins. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York and Florida with a twenty-year career in Addiction and Mental Health Counseling. My experience includes working as Primary Therapist in various residential and out-patient facilities treating Addictions, Co-occuring, Dual Diagnoses, and Eating Disorders. I have also worked in the role as Clinical Director, supporting staff in their role as Therapist, while focusing on developing gender specific programs for Woman and Men in recovery. I have experience helping people heal from Alcoholism, Addiction, Trauma, Attachment Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Addiction, Codependency, lost sense of purpose and meaning, Stress and burn-out, Compassion Fatigue, Grief and Loss, Spiritual Confusion, and Family or Origin issues that keep people stuck.

In addition to being a Mental Health Counselor I am certified in EMDR, Yoga for 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression (MBCT), and the Jaguar Path Shamanic Healing Practices. I am skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Attachment Focused EMDR.

I enjoy working with people who are interested in utilizing Holistic skills towards self-healing and empowerment. I am open-minded and informed to how Mindfulness and Cognitive therapies increase cognitive awareness, decrease depression and anxiety, provide freedom from addictive and compulsive behavior, increase our power to communicate, and provides an intrinsic sense of well-being and peace. It is important to me that I offer clients a sacred space to share feelings about experiences that are difficult to talk about while providing support identifying specific barriers to change and healing. My first goal is creating an authentic connection where lasting healing can occur.
