About

I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh who is currently licensed in Connecticut, with over 15 years of professional work experience. I believe strongly that people living with mental health concerns are "people of the lived experience," which means I will never "talk at" you. I will always be open to listening, and am here to help guide you through your wellness journey, not force you to do things you know won't be helpful. I believe you will always know yourself better than I ever could, so my goal is to work with you, as an alliance, to help you find the purpose and meaning that everyone needs to feel fulfilled and content.

I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, lack of motivation, self esteem struggles, low confidence, & career difficulties. I am always working on educating myself on new therapeutic techniques, but the three types of therapy I have the most experience with are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, and art therapy. I am currently doing research on the connection between empathic people and anxiety. I would be happy to use or learn about any type of therapy that might interest you, as I love learning new techniques and bringing them into my practice. I am also sure to explain the therapy I use to you, so you will never be confused about what we are doing in session.

You have taken the first and most important step; you are getting help. That takes an immense amount of courage. I am here to support you as you continue working toward your goals. I sincerely look forward to working with you. The path to wellness is just a step away.
