I love to hear everyone's unique story and to help people feel better using a variety of tools. I have a casual demeanor. I am a good listener, have calm energy, and I am nonjudgmental. I have incorporated animals into my face-to-face therapy sessions, so please let me know if you are interested in this. I also do grief therapy for people who lost a person or pet. Though I am currently doing teletherapy, I sometimes conduct "nature therapy" sessions where we meet outside in parks, fields, trails, etc. Some clients prefer this to sit face to face in an office. It is especially good for those clients who have stressful lives surrounded by noise and technology. I work with some clients to help them find their meaning or purpose in life (Logotherapy). With some clients, we work on ways to replace negative thought patterns or behaviors with positive ones (CBT). Going into a first session many clients report feeling uneasy about talking to a complete stranger about their sensitive issues. After the first session, almost all clients report having less anxiety about the therapy process and can begin working toward goals. I will give you tools to use in the future if similar problems start to arise. Phone consultations are available upon request.
