She is also a PREPARE-ENRICH Facilitator offering couples a chance to build a positive and long-lasting marriage. She is a Certified Anger Management Specialist and Certified Parenting Facilitator. Dr. Kornegay was born and raised in Jamaica, secondly raised in California. She is an empathetic, dedicated, and nurturing individual. She is the mother of three beautiful daughters, and family means everything to her. She is always reading and trying to find out as much as she can about anything that interests her about her field or as a hobby. TECHNIQUE Dr. Kornegay believes that each person is in charge of the paths in their lives. Therefore, she believes in working from a client-centered approach which gives you the client the lead. She also believes that therapy is best from a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Dr. Kornegay also works from an eclectic perspective in therapy, meaning she draws from more than one modality and uses the best-suited blend of therapeutic intervention based on the needs of the client. She utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
