My name is Sonja and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and can provide services fully in Spanish or English. I have extensive experience working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and women's issues.
The work I do in my private practice is to provide my clients with an outlet to navigate how they are currently feeling and why. I help my clients find the answers they are seeking in order for them to move forward to live a more fulfilled life.
I work through an integrated therapeutic style (think of eclectic) as I believe that everyone's story is different and the journey to healing will look very different for every single person.
I would describe my style as open, warm, supportive, and eager to see you achieve the goals you set for yourself in order to truly live your best life. I strongly believe in open communication as this is key to ensuring that we are on the right track during the process. I also believe in a holistic approach to counseling where the focus is mind, body, and soul. In order to see goals achieved, it will take some time, and if you are looking for a quick fix, I may not be the right counselor for you.
