Welcome! You have taken a positive step by deciding to seek therapy. Our work will be grounded on a relationship of mutual respect and collaboration to help you accomplish your goals. Together we will look at your concerns from different perspectives, and with an attitude that reflects thoughtful, inquisitive, and creative solutions. I bring to my practice an extensive experience as an immigrant, parent, and bilingual teacher. I have worked in the mental health field for six years treating families, couples, and individual adults, and helped these groups build bridges of mutual respect and non-violent communication to resolve issues ranging from trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, and lack of trust. When working with clients I draw from different therapeutic modalities – Family Systems, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I also use Somatic Psychotherapy tool interventions within a friendly and safe environment. In this therapeutic environment, I foster acceptance and a genuine understanding for my clients.
