About
Growing up, I was labeled the "sensitive one". But it was only because I felt so deeply for everything and everyone around me and it helped me to realize early on what my purpose was in life. Normalizing mental health and what it means to be human, respecting our experiences in life as a journey and not a destination, and overcoming struggles to become our best self has always been a humbling experience to be a part of as a therapist.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in South Carolina. I graduated from Converse College in 2017 with my Masters. I am a SC Notary and have worked as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem. I began working at a Free Clinic providing Medical Family Therapy to families dealing with mild - severe chronic illnesses. After a year, I went on to become the Senior Clinical Counselor at a substance abuse facility where I conduct group therapy for women who have loss their children through DSS due to alcohol and drug addictions. In working with the women, I have conducted couples and family therapy with their loved ones.
My primary therapy models are Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe every client already has the tools needed to reach their goals; I am only a guide. I am very client-centered. I also focus on how physical health affects our mental health - mind and body connection. As a therapist, my areas of focus have been medical family therapy, alcohol and drug addiction, grief, relationship issues, divorce, blended families, military families, trauma, family conflicts, mood disorders (depression/anxiety), problem solving/decision making skills.
Working with any person, couple, or family has always been an honor and it would be an honor to work with you!
