Hello! My name is Shirley Salomon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working in the mental health field with people experiencing a wide variety of issues. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinics, residential and in-home. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, trauma, divorce and the challenges of parenting. I have the most experience working with teens, families and women.

I use a person centered, holistic and solution focused approach in therapy. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT , mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. That means that we start with the needs that are most pressing for you and work collaboratively to learn new patterns of thinking and interacting, improve coping skills, heal and grow.

Difficult and sometimes painful times are unavoidable parts of life. It is courageous to allow yourself to be vulnerable and seek help. I place importance on establishing trust and rapport, creating space for difficult conversations and working collaboratively while providing a supportive relationship. I have had the privilege of being entrusted to be a partner in helping many people gain insight, coping skills and make shifts in maladaptive patterns over the years. I hope to do the same in our work together.
