Hello. I'm a clinical social worker and have many years of experience working with adults. My clients have included those with major depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders and complex PTSD. The therapy I use most of the time is called acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Here's a quote that I turn to often from ACT, and it embodies my philosophy: "In this very moment, will you accept the sad and the sweet, hold lightly stories about what is possible, and be the author of a life that has meaning and purpose for you, turning in kindness back to that life when you find yourself moving away from it?"
