About
My clients know that the greatest rewards of lasting change comes with hard work and supportive people (like me) in your corner. Clients who work with me are dedicated to growth, change, and personal responsibility in order to experience improved functioning and a greater sense of freedom and fulfillment in their lives.
Carl Jung said, "The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are." I enjoy helping clients who are interested in engaging in the challenging process of learning and growing while addressing difficulties they experience. Clients who work with me are dedicated to growth, change, and personal responsibility in order to experience improved functioning and a greater sense of freedom and fulfillment in their lives.
My availability is best for early-risers -- those who want to engage in therapy first in the morning before they begin their day and not have it interfere with their daily schedule. I have some availability during the week before 7am and availability on the weekends between 6am and 8am.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and have been practicing since 2010. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Thomas University in Minneapolis, MN. My approach to mental health is influenced by my commitment to Zen practice. I incorporate counseling strategies associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness. I can also will help you focus on building your relational and communication skills so that you can build your support network and get your needs met. I am best able to help adults of all ages on an individual basis.
As a therapist, I believe it is important to continue my own personal work, including increasing my cultural awareness as a white, cisgender female and doing my own anti-racist work. I maintain a mindfulness practice, consult with mentors, and attend workshops and retreats that facilitate my professional and personal growth so that I can support yours.
