About

***Please Note: Sherri Brothers is a provider within Headway’s provider network. After booking your appointment you will receive an email from Headway with instructions to setup your Headway patient account. You will need to complete this setup in order to confirm your appointment.*** What should your client know about you? I have expertise working with individuals and families impacted by the child welfare system and with individuals who have experienced trauma. I specialize in family/relationship issues, stress and anxiety management, adjustment disorder and LGBTQ matters. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech and my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Connecticut. What is your approach to therapy? Most importantly, I want you to be yourself. I want to create a brave space, where you can share who you are, what is on your mind, and the goals you hope to accomplish in therapy. I am open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their experiences with me. I will be your guide, as you navigate your own path to change. I will help you identify your strengths, so you can you use them to make progress on your goals. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? My goal is to assist in developing interventions and coping mechanisms to improve your emotional and physical well-being. My hope is that by offering another perspective or by helping you identify new tools/strategies, you will be able to find your path to change. I enjoy and welcome working with any race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
