Sherisse K. Bailey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCS) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) serving Wake County. She has been working with children, adults, and families since 2002 in various roles. My goal in therapy is to help others “Transform their Minds” to change their lives. Hopefully, this journey will help you shift from a place of restlessness or discomfort to a place of spiritual and mental wellness. Purposeful living versus accidental living is what we help people strive towards. Be mindful in living. Our minds, or at least our perceptions, can help or hurt an individual. The reality often doesn’t appear to matter. Typically, we tend to be incorrect if we begin wrong and don’t make any changes. The matters of life can’t defeat us. Only when we think we are beaten are we then are. We have the power to control our thoughts, actions, and lives. If we can control our minds over the matters (circumstances) that arise in daily life, we can grow. The quality of our life and what we produce, make, or build depends precisely on the quality of our thoughts. Remember: “Life is a work in progress.” Hopefully, we are all evolving, growing, and learning. The point of the process is not to never make mistakes but to know how to rebound and grow from the mistakes. A breakthrough in mind will allow for a fresh start in your life.
