The good news for you… I am Dr. Shellye Sledge, LCSW, CEAP, with considerable experience working with individuals, couples, and families for many years. My education and training include a PhD in Social Work from Norfolk State University, a Master of Social Work in Administration from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling/Psychology from Christian Heritage College in El Cajon, California. My approach My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused counseling in a positive and optimistic atmosphere. I provide the support needed to share, become aware and address life challenges in a way that result in a treatment plan designed to meet your unique and specific needs. My focus My experience with diverse participants has allowed me to acquire the therapeutic and coaching skills needed to work effectively with youth, adults and seniors from all walks of life to address a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, grief and loss, physical trauma or emotional abuse, as well as important life transitions. My communication style My counseling style is warm and engaging. I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
