About
The challenges we’re facing today are different than at any other time in our lives. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety from daily life, family communication, addiction, or having trouble with negative thinking traps, it is important that you know you don’t have to be alone in this journey. No two individuals are the same, and I tailor our sessions to address challenges unique to you based firmly on evidence-based counseling methods.
As a licensed professional counselor, I work with every type of client and have collaborated successfully with adults, teens, and families to overcome life’s challenges for the past ten years. I believe in a comprehensive lifestyle approach including healthy eating, exercise, and relationships to achieve mental and physical wellness.
My journey to becoming a counselor started after taking class an Intro to Psychology class that I loved. I graduated in 2009 from Dallas Baptist University with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. After attending Southern Methodist University for my Masters I graduated in 2012 and started my career. In 2020, I was trained and then certified in EMDR therapy. As a licensed professional counselor with over 11 years of work experience, I’ve collaborated successfully with my clients to work through frustrations and mental illness that at times can feel debilitating. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (I’m a wife and mom of two), reading, traveling, and having a good Hotworx session! With time, faith, and the right approach, it can get better. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you!
