Hi, I'm so glad you're here! You've taken the first step by reaching out and together, we can work on some important things to make improvements in your life. Let me share with you a little bit about myself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I live in MI, and also obtained my degrees in MI. I have worked with people from ages 5 and up. I have completed some special training to assist people that may have had some traumatic things happen to them, and also special training to work with children and adolescents. I like to use different modalities of counseling and will choose and integrate approaches based on what may work best for you. These include Solution Focused , Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). I have a lot of experience with grief and loss, and also like to integrate some Existential ringtones into my practice and find it helps people who are searching for meaning. I would describe my approach as warm and sunny, but also like to use soft humor and laugh together. It is important to laugh! My perspective about counseling is that all people can benefit from it, IF the timing is right. You have to be ready to take the journey, share, and make commitments to yourself to take action steps. These steps can be small, they can be big. We will work together in what steps are the right ones for you to take, based on you being the expert of your own life and driving the directions your steps will go.
