About Me

Mrs. Shelia Tucker is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with 11 years of experience serving individuals, families and children.

Mrs. Shelia Tucker's experience includes, but not limited to , working with children, adolescents, young adults and families who have experienced ADHD behaviors, anxiety, depression, family issues, self esteem issues along with grief and loss. I have worked in various human service roles such as a social service specialist, Families First Worker, Prevention Worker and as a Clinical Social worker for the last 11 years. My broad background has allowed me to honor other's diversity and uniqueness. My therapeutic approach includes encouraging clients, using humor, being and teaching flexibility along with using evidenced based social work modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem Solving Strategies as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I have a certification in Parent Management Training through the Yale Parenting Center and Child Conduct Clinic.
