About

Are you feeling overwhelmed, not sure what you can do to support yourself? Are you struggling with taking care of yourself and connecting with others? Are you experiencing a big change in your life that feels disruptive? I specialize in supporting folx struggling with interpersonal or academic stressors; managing life transitions; have experienced symptoms of or have a history of depression or anxiety; and those who are looking to increase their self-esteem to become their authentic self.

Within the contexts of therapy and yoga, I believe that the individual is the expert of their life, and the answers we seek are within us. When we can truly listen to ourselves and turn inward we find exactly what we need. Clients seeking therapy with me are ready to partner with an engaging therapist who will support them in their work of improving their mental health.

With over thirteen years of experience in multiple areas of mental health, I offer a well-rounded approach to therapy. I incorporate various theoretical approaches to best support client's session-to-session; particularly, noticing how we feel as we discuss specific topics offers a lot of information which then promotes awareness - the first step to change.

I am dedicated to becoming more of an anti-racist individual in all facets of my life. I believe Black Lives Matter. I am an activist, a queer, straight-passing, white cisgender woman. I will never know what it's like to live in my anyone else's shoes, but I am eager to learn, grow, and unlearn to expand my perspective, increase the efficacy of care, and be a better humxn. I am a nonjudgmental, empathic, and open-minded professional; I believe in Health At Every Size and sex-positivity. Now more than ever taking care of ourselves is imperative - I personally like to engage in movement most days of the week, whether it's going for a walk, an online barre class, or some Yin yoga.

As a therapist, I don't believe therapy is for everyone - I think therapy is for brave individuals who are ready to do the work; it's not easy, and it will be fulfilling, nourishing work that will pave the way for success. If you're ready, send me a message, and let's connect!
