The ideal client is one who wants to see a change in their life. It is impossible to feel motivated 100% of the time, but the ideal client would remain consistent in their efforts to see change nonetheless. The ideal client would be open and willing to learn how to focus on and utilize their strengths, develop coping skills, and work collaboratively towards their desired outcomes. My ultimate goal is to create a space for the client in which they feel safe, supported, and accepted. My experience of working with clients of various ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses has allowed me to recognize the importance of meeting the client where they’re at, and identifying the specific goals they are hoping to achieve. As a therapist I believe it is my responsibility to work collaboratively with you to discuss what you hope to get out of therapy and find a way to help you do just that
