Greetings! I am Shay Harris, LCSW, and I have had 35 years’ experience as a Psychotherapist and Consultant. I have been licensed in Wisconsin since 1994 and in Indiana since 2020. I earned a BS in Education from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1984, and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Graduate School in 1986. My ongoing professional education has included Jungian Depth Psychology and Dreamwork; Spirituality and Healing; Ecological Psychology; Social Justice; Art as Meditation; Death and Dying; Eating Disorders; OCD; PTSD; Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in Children; Equine Assisted Psychotherapy; Mood Disorders; Anxiety Disorders; Women’s Issues; Domestic Violence; Sexual Violence.

My therapy approach is warm, approachable, easy going, and reaffirming.
I use a variety of therapeutic strategies depending upon the individual’s needs. Your experience in therapy will be tailored to suit you. My goals will be YOUR goals! It is a priority that you feel seen and heard and that at the end of a session, you will feel like you are making progress. I want to help you get things sorted out, and to feel better.

When you contact me, I will respond within 24 hours (usually sooner). If you are having an emergency, feeling unsafe, or having thoughts of harming yourself or others, you should call 911 to get immediate in-person help. Your sessions with me will be 45 minutes, two to four times a month. My availability is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 a to 3:00 pm CDT.
