About Me:
Hello - I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (L.C.P.C.) who has been assisting individuals with mental health and behavioral health disorders, in addition to substance use disorders, in and around the Baltimore, Maryland area for the past 23-years. I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship and a good sense of humor are critical to exploring some of life’s greatest challenges and obstacles. With a little effort and guidance, almost anyone can accomplish almost anything! Please allow me the opportunity to assist you to live in the best “here and now” that you can. By learning to focus on the “here and now” as well as inviting “mindfulness” into your life, you will experience miracles in your life you never thought possible! With a little time and open mindedness, almost anyone can learn how to decrease the stressors experienced not only in their day-to-day lives, but also with transitions and life changes.
I’ve always encouraged my patients and clients to be consumers when it comes to finding a therapist that “fits” and/or “feels right.” Similar to when you buy something at a store that you don’t care for, did not look right or that didn’t meet your expectation, chances are you’re not going to buy that product again, let alone recommend it to someone else. The same is true for finding a therapist. If the first therapist you see doesn’t feel right, continue to “test-drive” other therapists until you connect with a therapist that you not only feel comfortable with, but also someone who will continue to challenge you to be the best “you” you can be!
I’ve worked with adolescents, young adults, couples, families and individuals presenting in a number of different therapeutic venues and situations. One of the reasons I became a counselor was because I could think of no better profession that allowed me to sleep well at night knowing I made the effort to assist someone else with their issues and/or difficulties they’re experiencing.
