I believe that all of us experience difficult life situations, none of us are immune. Personal change and growth do not come from a place of comfort, instead, they come from a place of discomfort: a place that is so uncomfortable that we would like to grow past it as quickly as possible. But skipping past the pain won’t help us learn anything, instead, we need to heal and grow through the hard experiences in our lives. Deciding to seek therapy can feel scary, yet, being scared and doing something anyway is the definition of being courageous.
