Hello! My name is Sharon Walker. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing counseling, therapy, and clinical case management. My primary roles have involved working with individuals and families dealing with mental health challenges, crises, and trauma-related outcomes. I have served across a broad range of environments; including hospice respite care, behavioral health, corrections, county jails, emergency rooms, residential facilities, and mobile crisis. As a former Clinical Supervisor and Counselor for a rape crisis center, I also have extensive experience working with survivors of childhood and adult sexual trauma. I received my Masters in Social Work in 2014 from University of New England in Biddeford, ME.

My background also includes working with individuals in the areas of substance abuse, family dynamics, boundary issues and development, caregiving, guardianship, and spiritual abuse.

My counseling style is friendly, natural, and open. The approaches I use often are Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior, and Solution-Focused Therapy; however, I commonly use a blend of modalities to fit individual needs and preferences. It is a privilege to provide a safe space for you and to honor the dignity and worth you already have as a human being.
